Real plan £95m Bale offer Spanish giants line up jaw-dropping bid for winger

REAL MADRID were last night preparing a jaw-dropping £95million bid to finally snatch Gareth Bale from Tottenham.

SunSport has learnt the Spanish giants will offer £51m cash plus £25m-rated Angel Di Maria and £19m Fabio Coentrao in what insiders described as the deal of the century.
Real have already had an £81m world-record bid for Welsh wizard Bale turned down.
But president Florentino Perez has gone all out to make the Spurs star his latest Galactico.
Real’s new raid will ratchet up the pressure on Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who has so far held firm and refused to sell.
Bale has told Levy he would like to join Madrid.
But the winger, 24, has resisted handing in a transfer request or going on strike to force a move.
Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is understood to be keen on Argentine winger Di Maria, 25.
And he would also welcome Portuguese star Coentrao, 25, who can operate as a left wing-back or midfielder.

Baby, does my bum look big enough in this?

NOW here’s a competition that we can all get BEHIND.

It may only be in its third year but already Brazil’s Miss BumBum is one of the most popular beauty pageants in the world and no butts about it.

The 27 cheeky contestants will fight it out next month for the trophy. Sounds like great craic.

Rihanna’s trip add visor

P DIDDY’s personal hair-comber is nothing compared to RIHANNA’s official piggybacker.

All of her caning must have finally got to her, leaving her unable to walk – or maybe she’s just lazy.
Pretty in pink ... Rihanna
The singer was carried around by a fella in Oslo after a night of partying on a yacht ahead of her gig in the Norwegian capital last night.

She donned a blue swimsuit and bomber jacket – and even took a leaf out of ROD STEWART’s book.
That purple visor looks like something the rocker would’ve stuck on his bonce in the Eighties.

Ferreyra promises goals after Shakhtar move

"You can expect a lot of goals from me," said new FC Shakhtar Donetsk striker Facundo Ferreyra, 22, after completing his transfer from Argentina's CA Vélez Sarsfield.

FC Shakhtar Donetsk have paid a reported €7m for CA Vélez Sarsfield striker Facundo Ferreyra as the Ukrainian champions look to fill the gap left by Henrikh Mkhitaryan's departure for Borussia Dortmund.
"I am very happy," added the former CA Banfield trainee, who scored 16 times in 21 league appearances in 2012/13. "I was flattered by the interest expressed by Shakhtar and I will try to repay them for the trust they put in me with my performances on the pitch. You can expect a lot of goals from me."Ferreyra, 22, has signed a five-year contract at Shakhtar, and said: "Last season I watched the Champions League matches and, of course, Shakhtar's bright performances. I am honoured to be in Donetsk and I have high expectations."
Shakhtar have allowed Alan Patrick to be loaned back to SC Internacional in his native Brazil, with the midfielder having been used sparingly since his move to Donetsk in 2011. Shakhtar recently concluded a deal with SC Internacional to bring another Brazilian midfielder, Fred, to Donetsk.
As they prepare to enter this season's UEFA Champions League in the group stage, Shakhtar have also signed centre-back Oleksandr Volovyk from city rivals FC Metalurh Donetsk and Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense midfielder Fernando, brought in to replace Manchester City FC-bound Fernandinho.

Crash-land inferno: Two dead & 60 more are missing..

TWO people died when a jet crash-landed on a US airport runway last night with another 60 unaccounted for.
The Boeing 777 had its tail, landing gear and engine ripped off as it skidded across the runway at San Francisco Airport.
Many of the 291 passengers and 16 crew on board Flight 214 clambered safely from the burning wreckage — but at least 48 were injured, some of them critically.
Witnesses said the plane had flipped over and “cartwheeled” across the tarmac before coming to a standstill.

Terrified passengers escaped by sliding down the plane’s emergency slides as fire trucks doused the cabin with foam.
Debris was strewn hundreds of yards away and most of the cabin’s roof appeared to have been destroyed by the heat.
There was confusion last night as San Francisco fire chief Joanne Hayes-White said 60 passengers were still missing after the crash.
But she added: “They are not assumed dead.”
Passenger David Eun tweeted moments after the devastating impact: “I just crash-landed at SFO. Tail ripped off. Most everyone seems fine. I’m ok. Surreal...”

He added: “Fire and rescue people all over the place. Haven’t felt this way since 9/11.”
Shocked witnesses described seeing the Asiana Airlines jet arriving from Seoul, South Korea, after a 10hr 23min flight tear apart as it came into land.
One called Isabel said the plane clipped an airport car and then smashed into another aircraft.
She added: “I saw the plane coming in extremely fast and heavy.

“The wing clipped one of the working cars on the runway which caused it to spin and hit another plane, making it flip and cartwheel out of control and crash on to the runway.”
Witness Stephanie Laine said: “A landing plane came in at a bad angle, flipped and exploded.”
The National Transportation Safety Board said it was sending a team of investigators to probe the crash.
The Boeing 777-200 is a twin-engine aircraft and one of the most popular for long-haul flights.
Flights from the UK to San Francisco were being diverted last night.

Crossing the divide: Dortmund and Bayern

EX-Borussia Dortmund playmaker Mario Götze, unveiled at FC Bayern München on Tuesday, is not the first to have moved between the German heavyweights, as UEFA.com learns.

Luís Figo's switch from FC Barcelona to Real Madrid CF in 2000 and Andrea Pirlo's move to AC Milan from FC Internazionale Milano 12 months later were two of the biggest, most high-profile transfers of their time. Fast-forward to 2013 and the same can be said of the €37m deal FC Bayern München struck with Borussia Dortmund to sign Mario Götze.

The 21-year-old is the latest to have made that journey from western to southern Germany or vice-versa. Perhaps the most famous example is that of centre-back Mats Hummels, who, from the age of seven, worked his way up through the Bayern youth ranks but was deemed surplus to requirements by then coach Jürgen Klinsmann.
In summer 2009, and after a year-long loan, he moved to Dortmund on a permanent basis. The 24-year-old has since become an established German international and a key player at the BVB Stadion Dortmund, winning the Bundesliga twice and scoring in the Schwarzgelben's 5-2 victory against his former employers in the 2012 German Cup final.
Over a decade earlier – during which time Thorsten Frings donned both teams' jerseys – another old hand made his way from Bavaria to the Ruhr Valley. Christian Nerlinger was born in Dortmund but grew up in Munich, winning two titles with Bayern as well as the German Cup and 1996 UEFA Cup. Two years later, aged 25, he joined his home-town club.

Michael Rummenigge and Thomas Helmer in 2010
Part of the Germany squad that finished runners-up to Denmark at the 1992 UEFA European Championship, Thomas Helmer signed for Bayern after the tournament. A cup winner with Dortmund in 1989, he enjoyed a successful spell in Munich, claiming three championships, another German Cup and a UEFA Cup winners' medal. He then helped Germany go one better than four years earlier at EURO '96.
Stefan Reuter and Jürgen Kohler became revered figures in Dortmund, but not before they celebrated a Bundesliga title triumph together at Bayern in 1990. After spells in Italy with Juventus, the pair helped Dortmund to championships in 1996 and 2002 under Ottmar Hitzfeld, who also guided the club to UEFA Champions League glory in 1997 – in Munich's Olympiastadion.
Not to be forgotten is Michael Rummenigge, younger brother of Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz, who left Bayern for Dortmund in 1988 after three title successes. A German Cup followed with his new club.
History shows players win silverware in both cities. Given Bayern's treble-winning exploits of last term, Götze will be confident of adding to the trophies he has so far collected in his young career.

Cavani, Ibra tipped to form strong partnership

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola believes that Edinson Cavani would form a good partnership with the Swedish striker at Paris Saint-Germain.

The Uruguayan is currently on the radar of the Ligue 1 club as well as Chelsea and is tipped to make a big-money move in the current transfer window.
However, Napoli are adamant that they will ony let their star striker leave for nothing less than €63 million and this could prove a stumbling block in any transfer negotiations.
But the Parisiens are not averse to paying such a large sum and are looking to form a strong squad in order to mount a strong campaign in the 2013/14 Champions League season.
Cavani could also help lighten the load on Ibrahimovic who helped fire PSG to the Ligue 1 title with 35 goals in all competitions last term.
"Of course, Ibra and Cavani would make a great duo," Raiola told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Although, Zlatan would remain the club's main man."
"Cavani to PSG, for me, is difficult to see being completed because of the [€63m] clause."
Furthermore, he opined that it's unlikely that AC Milan's Robinho would seal a move to his homeland despite numerous reports suggesting an imminent switch to Santos.
"It's hard to say as AC Milan are not willing to lose him so easily. The Brazilian market closes soon as well."
PSG previously signed Ezequiel Lavezzi from Napoli last year although the Qatar-backed club are yet to make a move in the current summer transfer window.
